Where to Stay in Redmond
Redmond has a number of great lodging options for you to choose from. From the Super 8 Best Western and Comfort Inn that are located just a mile away from the Deschutes County Fairgrounds and Expo to Sleep Inn and the Hub north of Redmond you are sure to find something that suites. Looking for something that is comfortable and convenient for the whole family? Be sure and check out what Eagle Crest has to offer in condominiums with full kitchens and multiple bedrooms.
Where to Play in Redmond
Redmond has a number of great restaurants and activities. While here be sure and check out downtown Redmond. A huge revitalization program a few years ago helped turn the downtown into a vibrant and fun place to hang out. Be sure and check out the skating rink in downtown Redmond for great fun with the kids. Skates can be rented on site.
Redmond is known for its sunshine even in the winter boasting over 300 days of sun a year. Take advantage of this by heading out on a hike. From Smith Rock to Cline Falls there are a number of world class hikes you can enjoy. Looking to do some more traditional winter activities? You are in luck with a number of snow parks and Hoodoo Ski area just 45 minutes away. Located on Santiam Pass these locations provide great downhill skiing, tubing, and Nordic skiing opportunities.
Where to Stay in Bend
Located just 15 minute drive away from the Deschutes County Fairgrounds and Expo Center, Bend, Oregon is a wonderful winter playground. A number of lodging options are available for you to choose from. Looking for something that is close to the Expo Center then be sure and check out the Holiday Inn Express, Riverhouse, or Shilo on the Northside of town.
Where to Play in Bend
Downtown Bend has a large number of shops and restaurants to appeal to everyone’s taste. Definitely worth an afternoon to come and explore all that the city has to offer. Those looking to do a little shopping can find number great stores at Cascade Village on the north side of town. Also check out the Old Mill for some great shopping, movies and restaurants.
Looking for some fun winter activities be sure and head up to Mt. Bachelor for great skiing and tubing opportunities. Located just 30 minutes from downtown Bend. Another great spot for the family is Wanoga Snow Park located 25 minutes from Bend it offers great sledding and a warming hut and fire pits.
